During the holiday club, Busy Bees go on trips on a weekly basis.

There is an extra trip charge on top of the daily fee.

Activities

 

A programme of activities will be provided that is creative, safe, varied and aged appropriately for the needs of the children attending the club.  This will include a quiet area for children to relax, do homework or read.  Also on offer are the following activities:

Arts and Crafts (T-shirt printing, badge making, junk modelling, clay work, tie-dying, kite making, mod rock, etc)

We have a wii and a playstation with games such as Fifa and Mario Cart, although the amouth of time on these is limited as we try and promote other activities such as using the pool table, table tennis, lego, home corner, dolls and much, much more.

We love to cook and bake at busybees and there is always something delicious being created in the kitchen.

There will also be opportunity for indoor physical play, such as football, badminton, bench ball, target and indoor bowling.

Activities will be supervised at all times.

 

Outdoor Activities

 

There will also be opportunity for physical play: football, badminton, tennis, cricket, rounders, skateboarding, roller-skating (children must bring their own safety helmet). When in the playground we have the use of the adventure trail, climbing frame and an area where the children can practice their balancing jumping in our tyre area. In the spring and summer months we have a sand pit, chalk drawing and he occasional water fight! (Children will we asked to bring in a towel and change of clothes in advance).

Activities will be supervised at all times.

 

 

FOOD

 

Please provide your child with a packed lunch when attending the holiday club. Please do not include nuts or nut products in your child’s pack lunch. Water will be provided throughout the day and the children will be offered toast and orange squash at around 10am. We run a tuck shop on Friday afternoon which is completely optional. If you wish your child to buy something from the tuck shop then please ensure that they hand the money in on arrival to the member of staff signing children in.

 

Collection Arrangements

 

Children will be cared for at the Club until collected by a named adult. In the event of a change in collection arrangements, written notification of the changes will be required in advance. Collection from Busy Bees after your booked time will be charged at £2.00 for every 1 minute per child. If your child still has not been collected by 7.00pm it is our responsibility to hand them into the care of the Social Services.
