About Us
Busy Bees was founded in 2006 by our director Danny Pitman. For nearly 20 years, we’ve been providing reliable after school and holiday care for children in schools across the community. We believe children learn best when they’re relaxed and happy, which is why free play is at the heart of everything we do. Our clubs offer a welcoming space where children can unwind, make friends, explore their interests, and simply enjoy being kids – giving parents peace of mind and children a place they love to be
Busy Bees is Ofsted registered and all staff are thoroughly DBS checked. Ensuring your child's safety is our top priority.
We believe in the power of play as a vital tool for learning and growth. Our diverse range of activities are designed to spark imagination, promote social skills, and encourage physical activity. From creative arts and crafts to exciting group games, every moment is an opportunity for discovery and fun.

Why Free Play Matters?

-
Time to unwind: Free play helps children relax after a busy school day, supporting emotional wellbeing and reducing stress.
-
Builds friendships: Children learn to share, cooperate, and communicate while forming positive relationships with peers.
-
Boosts confidence & independence: Choosing how and what to play encourages decision-making and self-belief.
-
Encourages creativity: Open-ended activities inspire imagination, storytelling, and creative thinking.
-
Develops life skills: Through play, children practise problem-solving, negotiation, and resilience.
-
Supports physical health: Active play improves coordination, movement, and overall fitness.
-
Inclusive for all: Free play allows every child to join in at their own pace and ability.
-
Learning through fun: Play naturally reinforces language, maths, and thinking skills—without pressure.

At Busy Bees, we understand the needs of working families, which is why we offer flexible hours and great value for money without compromising on quality care. We value every child as an individual, each with their own interests, personalities, and needs. By taking the time to get to know every child, we aim to create a positive, supportive experience where they feel happy, confident, and cared for every day.
